10.3 Third-Party Privacy Policies
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of all integrated services, as they maintain independent privacy practices. Links to key providers' policies:
10.4 Connected Applications and OAuth Authorization
Overview:
The Aionix Platform provides a Connected Applications feature that allows you to securely connect your Google Workspace accounts (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive) and Slack workspaces via OAuth 2.0 authorization. This enables your AI agents and tasks to access and interact with your data within these applications using your authenticated credentials.
How Connected Applications Work:
When you connect an application:
- You are redirected to the third-party provider's secure OAuth authorization page
- You grant Aionix specific permissions (scopes) to access designated data
- The provider issues a secure access token to Aionix
- Aionix uses this token to access only the data and perform only the actions you have authorized
- You may revoke access at any time through your account settings or the third-party provider's security settings
Data Accessed Through Connected Applications:
Depending on the permissions you grant, Aionix may access:
Google Gmail:
- Email messages and metadata
- Ability to send emails on your behalf
- Contact information
Google Calendar:
- Calendar events and details
- Ability to create, modify, and delete events
Google Drive:
- Files and folders you specify
- File metadata and sharing settings
- Ability to create, modify, and delete files
Slack:
- Workspace messages and channels
- User profiles and presence information
- Ability to post messages and interact with channels
Use of Connected Application Data:
Data accessed through connected applications is used solely to:
- Execute the specific tasks and agent actions you configure
- Provide you with requested functionality and outputs
- Display relevant information within the Platform interface
- Enable automation and workflow integrations you create
Data retrieved from connected applications is typically processed in real-time to fulfill your immediate task requirements. When AI agents generate new content based on connected application data (such as email summaries or calendar insights), that generated content is stored as "User Content" and retained according to the standard 12-month retention policy outlined in Section 6.1.
Limiting Use of Connected Application Data:
In accordance with Google API Services User Data Policy and similar requirements:
Aionix's use of information received from Google APIs and other connected applications adheres to the Limited Use requirements, including but not limited to:
- Data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the requesting application's user interface
- Data is not transferred to others unless necessary to provide or improve user-facing features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with user notice)
- Data is not used or transferred for serving advertisements
- Data is not used or transferred to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes
- We do not use any data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to train, retrain, or improve our AI models or LLMs
Human Review of Connected Application Data:
We do not allow humans to read connected application data unless:
- We have first obtained your affirmative agreement for specific messages
- It is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse
- It is necessary to comply with applicable law
- It is necessary for the Platform's internal operations, and even then only when the data has been aggregated and anonymized
Security and Confidentiality:
Connected application credentials and data are subject to the same security measures outlined in Section 7 of this Policy. OAuth tokens are:
- Encrypted in transit and at rest
- Stored securely with restricted access
- Automatically refreshed and rotated according to provider requirements
- Immediately invalidated upon disconnection or account deletion
Your Control and Consent:
You maintain full control over connected applications:
- You explicitly authorize each connection and the specific permissions granted
- You may disconnect applications at any time through your Aionix account settings
- You may revoke access through the third-party provider's security settings
- Disconnecting an application immediately terminates Aionix's access to that data
- You agree that your use of connected applications is subject to the third-party provider's terms of service and privacy policy
Third-Party Responsibility:
Aionix acts as a conduit for accessing data you authorize from connected applications. We are not responsible for:
- The accuracy, completeness, or legality of data provided by third-party applications
- Data breaches, unauthorized access, or security incidents occurring within third-party provider infrastructure
- Changes to third-party APIs, features, or permission models that affect integration functionality
- Content, accuracy, or legality of data accessed from connected applications
Compliance and Verification:
Our connected applications feature is designed to comply with:
- Google API Services User Data Policy: Including Limited Use requirements for Google user data
- Slack API Terms of Service: Governing use of Slack APIs and user data
- OAuth 2.0 Security Best Practices: As published by the IETF and OAuth working groups
